Fig. 6. Evaluation of antibacterial effect of the 6 studied plants on 4 bacterial strains using micro-dilution method. The determination of antibacterial activity was conducted using the microdilution method. Samples of plant extracts were tested against four different bacterial strains, designated S1, S2, S3 and S4. The concentrations of the extracts were arranged from left to right in the image, with a progressive decrease in concentration. Each vertical line represents a specific plant, with repetitions on the following line. For example, for Ziziphus lotus, Z1 signifies the effect of this plant on strain S1, Z2 on strain S2, and so forth... Observation of the results reveal that bacterial growth is indicated by a pink coloration, facilitated by the addition of resazurin, a chemical compound serving as an indicator of bacterial presence. Areas without bacterial growth are observed by purple or green colorations.
